The Yaber L2s projector is an impressive addition to the L-series, offering affordability without compromising on quality. If you are on a low budget, this could be an ideal choice for those seeking a portable yet capable home entertainment projector.

Key Features
Setting up the projector is quite easy, thanks to auto-vertical keystone correction and autofocus technology. However, these features don’t work perfectly in my case and I have to make some minor manual adjustments with the remote control to get a perfectly aligned and focused image. The lack of horizontal keystone correction means that precise centering is essential for achieving a properly rectangular image. This requires extra care when mounting the projector, as it must be positioned symmetrically with the screen. Fortunately, vertical keystone correction compensates for placement height, allowing flexibility for ceiling mounts or low setups.
The projector is also exceptionally quiet, with a noise level of only 35dB, ensuring that fan noise doesn’t distract from your viewing experience. Sound is handled by dual 8W JBL speakers, which are better than most built-in projector speakers on the market. Still I recommend you to connect to an external speaker system via Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio jack.
At just over 5 lbs and with a footprint smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, the L2s is quite portable. Its lightweight design makes it easy to move between rooms or take along to outdoor events, sleepovers, or holidays. It uses a single mounting hole rather than the more standard four-hole setup.
The L2s offers many connectivity options. Built-in Wi-Fi 6 enables smooth screen mirroring from iOS and Android devices, reducing latency during wireless streaming. There’s also an HDMI port for connecting streaming sticks, gaming consoles, PCs, or Blu-ray players. A USB port allows direct playback of media files from a flash drive.
Picture Quality
The Yaber L2s boasts a native 1080p resolution and a high-refraction glass lens system, delivering sharp and vibrant visuals. Its 700 ANSI lumens of brightness enable it to illuminate screens up to 150 inches, creating a cinematic experience in your living room or backyard. The 1.35:1 throw ratio allows for flexible placement, I can project to an 80-inch screen from a 9-foot distance.
The picture quality is excellent when considering its lower price tag. The native 1080p resolution ensures crisp details and vibrant colors. The picture looks amazing, especially in a dimmer environment. It exceeded my expectations, offering sharp, high-resolution visuals with plenty of customization options to suit various lighting conditions. It is not as sharp and bright as the Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 that I tested not long ago, however, I can’t complain because it costs less than half the price.
Verdict
Pros:
- Native 1080p resolution and 700 ANSI lumens
- Compact and portable
- Impressive sound
- Versatile connectivity
- Quiet operation
Cons:
- No horizontal keystone
- Requires center & straight placement
Priced at just about $160 at this time, the Yaber L2s delivers outstanding value for its feature set. It is almost impossible to find a better projector at this low price range. My only concern is its durability; I’ve used it for a few weeks and have had no problem so far. This seems to be a reliable, user-friendly, and affordable projector.
