Fairy lights are decorative string lights with tiny, twinkling bulbs that are often embedded on flexible wires. They have a soft, ambient glow, suitable for creating cozy atmospheres indoors and out. They can be draped over furniture, woven into wreaths, wrapped around trees, or shaped into creative DIY displays. The Lakumu Rechargeable Fairy Lights are a bit different from fairy lights that I used earlier. They include a lipstick-sized rechargeable power bank, which eliminates the hassle of frequently changing batteries.

Setting up the lights are very straightforward. Since it doesn’t require a power outlet, you have the freedom in the placement. The package include 2 strings and I hang both of them on my pine tree. Then I can control the lights easily with either a remote or a button on the power bank. Switching between 8 lighting modes, setting timers, and adjusting brightness is simple and intuitive.

The set includes two 66-foot-long fairy lights, each with 200 bright LED beads, making it perfect for indoor and outdoor decor. Whether illuminating a room or brightening up a garden, patio, or even a camping site, these lights offer versatility and stunning visual impact. The sturdy, flexible copper wire allows for easy molding and shaping, enabling creative DIY projects with ease.

The rechargeable power banks were quick to charge and according to the manufacturer, it can last up to 72 hours, depending on your settings. I often set the lights at the maximum brightness and only have to recharge the battery after a week. The need to recharge the power bank could be a minor inconvenience. I’ve set up the lights outdoors for a week and it looks like they can withstand various weather conditions.

While the Lakumu Fairy Lights deliver a beautiful, ambient glow, their brightness did fall short of my expectations after viewing the product images on Amazon. Even at their maximum brightness setting, the lights struggle to stand out when placed next to other light sources, which may be disappointing if you’re aiming for a more vibrant or dominant illumination. However, this level of brightness is understandable given that these lights are powered by a relatively small 1,800mAh battery. This limitation is a trade-off for the convenience and portability of the rechargeable power source, making them more suitable for creating subtle, cozy atmospheres rather than overpowering displays.

Overall, the Lakumu Fairy Lights cost just about $20 for the 2-pack and it is a good value in my opinion. They offer a convenient and creative lighting solution for any occasion, especially when the holiday season is approaching. Just make sure not to set your expectation too high for its brightness.
